Starling-it.co.uk is a site operated by Starling IT Services, A sole trader business run by Andrew Love.

The use of your personal information will be required to carry out our services.

This will be done in line with our Privacy Policy.


Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your purchase without having to give a reason at any time within the "cooling off period" of seven working days, beginning on the day after you receive the goods.

If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. You must return (the goods to our contact address (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract.

We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense.

Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your cancellation.

You will not have any right to cancel a purchase for the supply of any of the following goods:

  • for the supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned.
  • for the supply of audio or video recordings.
  • the supply of computer software if it has been registered.
    • for software supplied as part of a bundle, we will deduct the software cost from the refund amount.

Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased from Starling IT Services (the "Physical Product")

In the case of our bundle products or packs, each Physical Product in the pack is treated as a separate Physical Product.

Software is not covered under this warranty.

What does this limited warranty cover?

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.

During the Warranty Period, Starling IT Services will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

This Limited Warranty is transferable.

What will we do to correct problems?

Starling IT Services will repair the Product at no charge, using new replacement parts where necessary, or if no reasonable repair is possible, replace the product in it’s entirety.

How long does the coverage last?

The Warranty Period for Physical Product purchased from Starling IT Services is 2 Years from the date of delivery.

A replacement Physical Product (or part) assumes the remaining warranty of the original Physical Product.

What does this limited warranty not cover?

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by:

  • Conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship
  • Conditions, malfunctions or damage resulting from negligence, improper maintenance or modification- Damaged or destroyed by natural causes including but not limited to lightning, flood, or other natural disaster- Theft or loss of the Physical Goods

Starling IT Services will cover shipping charges if you live within our service area, as defined on our “About Page”.

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us so we can determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

You may be required to return the Physical Product specified by Starling IT Services (which may include parts of a bundle), in its original packaging, including any accessories or documents that shipped with the Physical Product (this does not necessarily include all the items in a bundle or pack, please ask what items you need to return if you are unsure) to an address specified by Starling IT Services.


Conclusion

These terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law.

You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
